Silver clay jewellery

Silver clay is a clay-like substance that contains tiny particles of pure silver. When you shape it and fire it in a kiln, the clay burns away and leaves behind solid silver. You can create any design you want with silver clay, from simple to intricate.

One of my favourite techniques is to use real leaves from my garden as molds for my silver clay jewellery. I love the natural patterns and textures that the leaves imprint on the clay.

I also work with other metal clays, such as bronze and copper. They have different colours and properties, and they can be combined with silver clay to create interesting effects. Sometimes I add glass beads or enamelling to my jewellery pieces to give them more colour and sparkle.

I usually only make the pendants for my jewellery, because I like to let the wearer choose how they want to wear them. They can use any chain or cord they like, and adjust the length to suit their preference. This way, they can personalize their jewellery and make it their own.
